Overview

We are currently recruiting a Production Manager for a relatively small food manufacturer who are experiencing fast company growth due to consumer demand.  The company is re-branding this year and plans to accelerate the rate of growth significantly over the coming years.  The site in Somerset is BRC AA accredited. This role would suit an individual who is willing to grow with the business.

 

The Role

Reporting into the Head of Operations, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing the operational work force
  • Ensuring KPI’s are achieved & maintained
  • Undertaking lean projects
  • Working with Head of Operations to develop staff and future requirements
  • Staff appraisals/ training/safety
  • Maintaining the company MRP systems
  • Work closely with NPD Manager to ensure the NPD process from initial idea to first production is well planned & OTIF
  • Maintain excellent GMP and BRC AA
  • Reporting to Head of Operations any potential problems that may result in delays to production (SIR)

 

The Person

The ideal candidate will have direct experience of operational management, ideally in FMCG food & drink (5 years’ minimum).

  • Experience of managing teams
  • Experience of developing & growing staff and processes
  • Clear and confident communication and presentation style
  • Strong work ethic & ability to juggle many balls at the same time.
  • Keen to learn as well as rolling your sleeves up and getting stuck in
  • An ambassador for the company: confident; adaptable and resilient; and with a hunger and passion to do your absolute best
  • High-energy, self-starter as well as collaborative team player
  • Exceptional planning and organizational skillss
